At Healix, we harness the power of technology to streamline the pressure injury risk assessment and early intervention process. Our proprietary protocol utilizes SEM (sub-epidermal moisture) scanning for objective identification of patients at risk of developing PIs, aligning with the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel’s (NPIAP) Standardized Pressure Injury Prevention Protocol 2.0 (SPIPP 2.0)– detecting pressure injuries up to five days sooner than visual skin inspection alone.

Dr. Seana Rutherford, a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) under the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) since 2014, is the visionary leader behind Healix. With a deep-seated passion for wound care and a commitment to excellence, Dr. Rutherford has set the standard for clinical practice in this continuously developing specialty through many years as a Nurse Practitioner. As the Founder and CEO of Healix, Dr. Rutherford’s wealth of wound care expertise drives superior healing rates through clinical leadership and years of bedside experience. We believe in closing the loop of care by working directly with patients, their families, and care teams to keep patients in their preferred environment whenever possible.
